Original circa 1910 color postcard depicting the Governor’s Palace (Palacio de Gobierno) in Matanzas, Cuba, surrounded by its landscaped gardens and palm trees.

Published by Harris Bros. Co., Havana, this historic Cuban postcard is identified as No. 7 in the series. A documented example of this same postcard is dated circa 1910.

The reverse carries the early Republic of Cuba postal heading:

“República de Cuba – Tarjeta Postal – Union Postale Universelle.”

A handwritten pencil note describes the scene as one of the Cuban governor's places. The card was never mailed and retains its unused stamp box.

An attractive piece of early Republican-era Cuban ephemera documenting the architecture and civic landscape of Matanzas in the early twentieth century.
