1878-S Morgan dollar with the expected Second Reverse / Reverse of 1878: 7 tail feathers, parallel top arrow feather, concave eagle breast, and the small San Francisco mintmark. PCGS notes that all 1878-S Morgans use this basic reverse type.
It has strong remaining luster and excellent hair detail. There are contact marks on Liberty's cheek and in the fields.
The coin looks Mint State. The reverse is especially attractive: strong feather detail, substantial luster, and relatively clean fields. The obverse cheek has enough bag marks that I would lean toward MS62–MS63, probably closer to MS63.
