Original Republic of Cuba souvenir sheet issued to commemorate the centennial of the publication of the Repertorio Médico-Habanero (1840–1940).

Issued on October 28, 1940, this historic issue is recognized as Cuba’s first souvenir sheet.

This particular example is especially interesting because it bears a prominent postal cancellation dated 28 OCT 1940 — the official first day of issue.
