1950 Cuba Cycling Delegation Official ID – VI Central American & Caribbean Games Guatemala

Original 1950 official identification credential issued to a member of the Cuban delegation at the VI Central American and Caribbean Games held in Guatemala.

This remarkable multi-panel identification carnet was issued to Rafael Dopico, a Cuban national from Havana, who is officially identified in the document as:

“Aux. del Delegado de Ciclismo” — Assistant to the Cycling Delegate.

The credential is individually numbered Series A No. 0084 and was certified by the Comité Olímpico Nacional de Cuba for Dopico's participation in the VI Juegos Deportivos Centroamericanos y del Caribe in Guatemala in February–March 1950.

The carnet retains its original identification photograph as well as official stamps, embossed seals and signatures.

The VI Central American and Caribbean Games brought together delegations from 14 nations competing in 19 sports. Cuba achieved an outstanding second-place finish in the overall medal standings.
