1960 Cuba Che Guevara Signature Banknote Set – 5, 10 & 20 Pesos – P91c P88c P80c

Original 1960 Banco Nacional de Cuba three-banknote set featuring the distinctive printed “Che” signature of Ernesto Che Guevara during his tenure as President of the National Bank of Cuba.

The group includes three different denominations from the historic 1960 Cuban currency issues:

5 Pesos – Pick P-91c
Featuring Cuban independence leader Máximo Gómez, with mounted riders on the obverse and agricultural and tobacco-industry scenes on the reverse. Serial D187735B.

10 Pesos – Pick P-88c
Featuring Carlos Manuel de Céspedes with imagery of the historic La Demajagua sugar mill. The reverse depicts cattle and milk-processing scenes. Serial N607703A.

20 Pesos – Pick P-80c
Featuring Cuban independence general Antonio Maceo, with the Cuban coat of arms on the reverse. Serial P817842A.

Each note bears the printed “Che” signature of Ernesto Che Guevara as President of the Banco Nacional de Cuba, together with the signature of Minister of Finance Rolando Díaz Astaraín.

An especially interesting group combining Cuban monetary history, independence-era national figures and one of the most recognizable signature varieties of post-Revolution Cuban currency.
