Cuba 1965 Postal Museum Inauguration Souvenir Sheet – Scott #935 – Maritime & Insurgent Mail

Original Cuban souvenir sheet issued in 1965 for the inauguration of the Cuban Postal Museum.

The sheet contains two stamp designs illustrating important chapters in Cuban postal history: the 13-centavo “Correos Marítimos” (Maritime Mail) diorama and the 30-centavo “Correo Insurrecto” (Insurgent Mail) diorama.

The latter recalls the postal system operated by Cuban independence forces during the nineteenth-century struggles against Spanish colonial rule.

An interesting piece of Cuban postal and philatelic history combining two museum dioramas in a single souvenir sheet.

Catalog reference: Scott #935.

Condition: Unused vintage souvenir sheet in significantly aged condition. The front retains good overall color and both stamp designs remain complete. Noticeable overall toning and age discoloration are present. The reverse shows substantial toning, gum disturbance/residue, staining, and a small area of surface/paper disturbance consistent with previous adhesion or mounting. Not MNH. Please examine all photographs carefully for exact condition.
