1940s Cuba RPPC – San Miguel de los Baños Panoramic View – Victor Aton

The photograph captures the historic town nestled beneath the surrounding hills, with its roads, residences, tropical vegetation and church visible across the landscape.

San Miguel de los Baños became known during the first half of the 20th century as a Cuban spa and resort destination associated with its mineral springs. Vintage photographs and postcards from this period preserve an important visual record of the town before the transformations of the later 20th century.

The lower margin is captioned “Vista San Miguel de los Baños” and bears the photographer's credit “Foto Victor Aton.” Victor Aton operated a photographic studio in Matanzas Province and produced photographic views of several Cuban locations during the 1940s.

This is an original real photographic postcard (RPPC) rather than a conventional photomechanically printed postcard.

Condition: Authentic vintage condition with age-related toning, scattered spotting and edge/corner wear. There is a visible short tear/crack extending downward from the upper edge near the center.
