1950 Havana Cuba Anfiteatro Nacional “Día del Aspirante” Original Photograph

Original 1950 Cuban photographic postcard documenting a large public gathering at the Anfiteatro Nacional in Havana, Cuba, identified on the reverse as the “Día del Aspirante.”

The remarkable panoramic scene shows the amphitheater filled with a large audience, including numerous groups dressed in white, gathered around the central stage and seating areas. Buildings of Havana can be seen beyond the amphitheater.

A handwritten period inscription on the reverse identifies the image:

“Vista panorámica del público asistente al Anfiteatro Nacional el Día del Aspirante.”

The reverse is additionally marked “Año – 1950” and “31.”

Unlike mass-produced Cuban tourist postcards, this piece appears to be a period photographic record associated with a specific public event held at Havana's Anfiteatro Nacional.
