1961 Cuba 20 & 50 Pesos Banknote Set – Che Guevara Signature – Camilo Cienfuegos & Calixto García

Original 1961 Banco Nacional de Cuba 20 and 50 Pesos banknote set, both bearing the distinctive “Che” signature of Ernesto Che Guevara during his tenure as President of the National Bank of Cuba.

The 20 Pesos note features revolutionary commander Camilo Cienfuegos on the front and the December 2, 1956 landing of the Granma on the reverse. It is Series F22, serial number 183036. The 1961 issued version is cataloged as Pick P-97a.

The 50 Pesos note features Cuban independence figure Calixto García Iñiguez on the front, with revolutionary imagery on the reverse commemorating the nationalization of foreign enterprises.

Both notes are historically significant examples of early revolutionary Cuban currency and were issued while Ernesto “Che” Guevara served as President of the Banco Nacional de Cuba.

The notes are in circulated vintage condition with age-related toning, folds and spotting. The 20 Pesos note has a small hole visible in the paper, while the 50 Pesos note shows scattered age spotting and circulation wear. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
