1968 Cuba Che Guevara “Día del Guerrillero” Stamp Set – 3 Vintage Stamps

Original group of three Cuban postage stamps issued in 1968 honoring Ernesto “Che” Guevara and commemorating October 8 as “Día del Guerrillero.”

The three stamps feature portraits and revolutionary imagery associated with Che Guevara and include the 1¢, 3¢ and 9¢ denominations.

Issued shortly after Guevara's death in Bolivia in October 1967, these stamps form part of Cuba's early philatelic commemoration of Che. Cuba officially established October 8 as the “Día del Guerrillero Heroico” following his death. Contemporary Cuban documentation confirms that designation.

This lot contains three stamps from the larger five-stamp issue; it is not the complete set.

Condition: Vintage unused stamps with original gum. The 1¢ stamp shows evidence/remnant of a previous hinge (charnela) on the reverse. The other stamps show age-related gum toning/discoloration. Overall front colors and designs remain attractive. Please review front and reverse photographs for exact condition.
