Antique Cuban Cigar Bands Set of 9 – Calixto Lopez Habana – Los Reyes de España – c.1906–1920s

Original early 20th-century Cuban cigar band collection consisting of nine different embossed labels associated with Calixto Lopez, Lopez Hermanos and Havana’s historic cigar industry.

The group includes two ornate “Los Reyes de España” bands featuring Queen Victoria Eugenia and King Alfonso XIII with Queen Victoria Eugenia, together with several Calixto Lopez and Lopez Hermanos designs and personalized advertising bands including Especiales para Duhalde and Club de la Unión, Santiago.

Produced during the golden era of Cuban cigar lithography, the bands feature elaborate raised printing, metallic gold decoration, vivid red detailing and finely rendered portrait imagery.

Calixto Lopez & Co. was one of Havana’s important historic cigar manufacturers and produced celebrated brands including Los Reyes de España, El Edén, and Lo Mejor. The firm was also associated with the Spanish Royal Household.

Based on the royal portrait designs and documented examples from this series, the collection dates primarily to the early 20th century, approximately c.1906–1920s.

All nine bands are original vintage examples. They show age-related toning, staining, adhesive/gum residue and handling wear, particularly on the reverse and ends. The embossed designs and colors remain attractive and well preserved. Please review all photographs for condition and details.
