Antique c.1909 Cuban postcard featuring a panoramic view of El Morro at the entrance to Santiago de Cuba Bay, published by Harris Bros. Co., Habana.

Captioned “47 – El Morro, Santiago de Cuba,” the image looks across the harbor entrance toward the historic fortress of Castillo de San Pedro de la Roca, dramatically positioned above the coastline.

The divided reverse is headed “República de Cuba – Tarjeta Postal – Union Postale Universelle” and identifies Harris Bros. Co., Habana as the publisher.

The card contains a period handwritten message commenting on the hot weather and plans to return home around May 31. It is signed with initials and appears unmailed, with no postage stamp or postal cancellation.
