c.1920s Cuba Chocolate La Imperial Santiago de Cuba Dog Postcard

Original vintage Cuban advertising postcard featuring a striking black-and-white portrait of a dog, issued in connection with Chocolate La Imperial of Santiago de Cuba.

The reverse bears the distinctive circular “Chocolate La Imperial – Santiago de Cuba” advertising mark and identifies Capote y Diez, Habana, a firm associated with the production or distribution of Cuban postcards.

Chocolate La Imperial was an established Santiago de Cuba chocolate brand documented in Cuban period advertising during the early 20th century. The company is also known among collectors for promotional postcard issues, making this an appealing example of early Cuban commercial and advertising ephemera.

The postcard is unused, with no address, postage stamp or personal correspondence.

Estimated to date from approximately the 1920s–1930s.
