Vintage Cuban postcard showing the monumental Palacio del Centro Asturiano in Havana while still under construction, prior to its completion in 1927.

The reverse is captioned in Spanish and English:

“Habana – Palacio del Centro Asturiano (en construcción) / Asturian Club House.”

Designed by Spanish architect Manuel del Busto, the new Centro Asturiano became one of the major architectural landmarks of Republican-era Havana. Completed in 1927, the elaborate building stood near Parque Central and served as the headquarters of Havana's influential Asturian community.

Unlike the many later postcards showing the completed palace, this early image specifically identifies the building as under construction, documenting an important moment in the architectural development of 1920s Havana.

The postcard was made in France and bears number 80 on the reverse.
