Cuba Che Guevara Stamp Sheets 2017 & 2018 – 50th Death & 90th Birth Anniversaries MNH

Set of two original Cuban commemorative stamp sheets honoring Ernesto “Che” Guevara, issued by Correos de Cuba in 2017 and 2018.

The 2017 issue commemorates the 50th anniversary of Che Guevara’s death in combat. The complete sheet contains four 85-centavo stamps depicting scenes and subjects connected with Guevara’s final campaign in Bolivia, including his Bolivian diary, a guerrilla map, members of the guerrilla group and the Che monument at La Higuera.

The 2018 issue commemorates the 90th anniversary of Ernesto Guevara’s birth. Its four 90-centavo stamps portray Guevara in different aspects of his life: performing voluntary labor, speaking publicly, playing chess and working with a camera as a photographer.

The 2018 issue had an officially authorized production of 14,426 four-stamp sheets.

Both sheets retain their decorative margins and provide an attractive pairing documenting two consecutive Cuban commemorative issues devoted to Che Guevara.

Included:
• Cuba 2017 – 50th Anniversary of the Death in Combat of Ernesto Che Guevara – four 85c stamps
• Cuba 2018 – 90th Anniversary of the Birth of Ernesto Guevara – four 90c stamps
